Cookie Policy
Cookie policy
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores in your browser. Toast Trader uses a small number of them, and this page lists what each group does and how to turn off the ones you do not want. Switching off optional cookies does not stop you ordering.
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the cart working, remember which bottles you added, hold your session while you move between pages, secure the checkout form and record that you have confirmed you are of legal age. They cannot be switched off through the site, because the store does not function without them.
Preference cookies
These remember small choices such as your delivery state or a notice you have dismissed, so you are not asked the same question on every page. Clearing them simply means you will be asked again next time.
Analytics cookies
These count visits and show which pages are used, in aggregate. We use the totals to decide which guides are worth keeping and where the checkout is confusing. They are optional and can be refused without affecting an order.
Third-party cookies
Our payment processor may set a cookie during checkout to detect fraud, and our carrier may set one on a tracking page. Those are controlled by those companies and by their own notices, not by us.
Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings, and a private window discards them when you close it. Blocking all cookies will usually break the cart and checkout. If you refuse analytics cookies, we will not load the analytics script after your choice.
