Shipping Restrictions
Shipping restrictions
Alcohol is regulated state by state, and a store like this one cannot treat the map as a single country. What follows explains the rules we apply. It is written for shoppers, not lawyers, so please read it as a plain-language summary rather than the final word; where a state rule is stricter than this page, the state rule wins.
Where we can deliver
We deliver only to states where direct delivery of the products we carry is permitted at the time of the order. The list is maintained at checkout and updated as rules change. If your state does not appear, we cannot accept the order, and we cannot route around the restriction by shipping to a friend, a freight forwarder or a hotel.
Signature and recipient rules
Every parcel requires the signature of a person 21 or older with valid photo identification. Deliveries to PO boxes, parcel lockers, unattended mailrooms and freight forwarders are not permitted. We cannot mark a parcel hold-for-pickup at a carrier depot unless that carrier permits adult-signature pickup at the location.
Quantity limits
Several states cap how much alcohol a single household may receive within a set period, and some require the shipment to be reported. Where a cap applies, the checkout reduces the quantity or refuses the order. Splitting one order into several identical orders to get around a cap is a reason for us to cancel all of them.
Destinations we cannot serve
Dry jurisdictions, military addresses routed through certain postal facilities, and destinations outside the United States are out of scope. Because the rules move, we do not publish a permanent list of excluded states here; the checkout is the current answer. If you believe your address should be serviceable and the checkout disagrees, write to us and we will check for you.
