Alcohol Warning and Disclaimer
Alcohol warning
Federal law requires a health warning on every container of alcohol sold in the United States. The wording below is reproduced exactly as required, without alteration.
GOVERNMENT WARNING: (1) According to the Surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. (2) Consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
What that means for an order
The warning appears on the label of every bottle we ship. It is a statement about alcohol in general and about the risks of drinking while pregnant or before driving; it is not a description of a particular brand or of how strong a given bottle is. Individual listings state the ABV and the volume so you know what you are buying before checkout.
Drinking responsibly
Alcohol affects people differently depending on body weight, food, medication, age and health. If you are pregnant, may be pregnant, are taking medication that interacts with alcohol, or have a medical condition, talk to a doctor before drinking. Do not drink and drive, and do not operate machinery after drinking.
If you or someone you know is struggling with alcohol, the SAMHSA National Helpline is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, at 1-800-662-4357.
